So last week I went to the beach with my friends, unfortunately we didn't all meet at the same place. My friend Jess and I met at Southbourne beach whereas the rest of my friends met at Boscombe which was around two miles away. So Jess and I walked halfway to meet our friends, thinking that they were doing the same, and after a while sat on a bench and waited. And waited. And waited for an hour. Bored we decided to look around, and we noticed something on the beach.
At first we didn't know what it was and thought it was a plastic bottle, and loving the environment as we do, we decided to throw it away. So, we picked our way across the beach barefoot (which really hurt because it was covered in random piles of pebbles). When we got there we saw that it wasn't a plastic bottle at all. It was this:
Yes, it was a jellyfish. As we looked around the beach, we realized that this jellyfish was not alone, oh no, it had brought it's friends with it. there was around ten of them, face down along the beach.
When our friends finally came an hour and a half after the designated meeting time they told us that they had seen them all the way from Boscombe! At that moment I thought "Dear God! It's a Jellyfish massacre!"
To be honest, jellyfish or not, our beach is something to be talked about, our beach is altogether around ten miles long (I checked on google maps!) and has a stunning view of the horizon.
P.S.
Many of my friends have seen the picture of the jellyfish above and have said it resembles an ood from Doctor Who!
What do you guys think/ comment below!
